Answers to All of Your Questions about Deregulated Utility Services
At Plymouth Rock Energy, we want you to make informed decisions about your energy provider. Here are some frequently asked questions and answers to help you learn more about our services.
Q: What are Energy Service Companies?
A: Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) are organizations registered with the public service commission (PSC). These companies compete to sell you natural gas and electricity.
Q: Who will deliver my gas and electricity?
A: Your local utility will use its existing gas pipelines and equipment to deliver the energy that you buy from Plymouth Rock Energy. The local utility is still responsible for maintaining the energy lines and reading meters, but when you are a Plymouth Rock Energy customer, you get all that at a lower price.
Q: What happens if there is an emergency or service interruption?
A: Your local utility will still respond to all emergencies and interruptions.
Q: Will I save money buying my natural gas and electricity from Plymouth Rock Energy?
A: We provide consistently competitive prices, so you will get the best rates. You can also lock in low rates; should rates rise, you’ll definitely pay less than you would have.
Q: Who will bill me for my energy supply?
A: Plymouth Rock Energy charges will appear on your normal utility bill. We will not bill you separately, and you will make payments to your existing utility the same way you have been doing.
Q: Are there any enrollment, cancellation or switching fees, or monthly service charges?
A: Plymouth Rock Energy does not charge any enrollment, cancellation or switching fees, or monthly service charges. We want our customers to have the power to choose comfortably, without any hidden fees. We believe that there should be no impact on the customer other than that they receive lower energy prices.
Q: How do I become a Plymouth Rock Energy customer?
A: Switching to Plymouth Rock Energy is simple and easy. Just give us a call at 855-32-POWER to connect with a customer account manager who will be happy to answer your questions and enroll you for our service.
